David
will be reading from Welcome to Canada,his
new collection of novellas and sharing the stage with
several others at the Aegian Coast Coffee & Tea
(1901 Hamilton Street, corner of 12th Ave) at 7:00 pm.

18 to 22 - Toronto
This fall David will be heading to Toronto to launch
his latest book of fiction, Welcome to Canada.
This
new work is a collection of novellas, old and new, and
will include some of his best work from the 1980s and
90s.
Dave
will be launching Welcome to Canada,
in Toronto from November 18 to 22 at Ben McNally's and
McNally Robinson.
Be
sure to catch David and fellow writer Ken Sherman jamming
at the Gladstone.

26th - Winnipeg
David will be reading with Warren Cariou at
Aqua Books, November 26th at 7:00 pm.
He
might also be playing some classical music on his banjo,
so bring your ear-muffs!

30th - Saskatoon
David will be launching Welcome to Canada,
his new book of novellas in Saskatoon on November 30th,
McNally Robinson at 7:30.
He
will be co-launching with Regina's Connie
Gault, who is launching Euphoria,
her first novel. She is best known for her plays and
collections of short stories.

February
5th & 6th, 2010 - Regina
David will be in Regina talking about his newest work
of nonfiction, a book about the history and the culture
of hunting in North America.
Hunter's
Confession is slated for publication some
time in 2010. The event in Regina is the annual Talking
Fresh festival of writers on writing to be held
at Luther College, University of Regina.

Carpenter is currently at work on a nonfiction book,
Hunter's Confession, about
the rise and fall of hunting as a pastime in North America.
In
addition to the non-fiction book on hunting, Carpenter
is working on a collection of essays for which he is
the editor entitled The Literary History
of Saskatchewan.
